Overview

The new Project X LZ Hand Crafted shaft combines a unique “Loading Zone” technology for a flexible mid-section with proprietary FlexLok™ torsional bands. These two technologies work together to produce maximum shaft loading without the loss of stability. The result is maximized ball speed with total control.

Project X LZ Hand Crafted shafts are proudly and meticulously crafted in Project X’s San Diego prototype lab. The shafts are available in three weight categories LZ 50 (50g), LZ 60 (60g) and LZ 70 (70g).

Features

• Project X’s unique “loading zone” technology produces maximum shaft load during the downswing for 7% greater energy transfer to the ball at impact.

• Loading zone is specifically positioned by flex to maximize ball speed / spin properties across entire product range. –Example:
•7.0 = 18 inches from butt
•6.5 = 17 inches from butt
•6.0 = 16 inches from butt

• Proprietary high-strength FlexLok™ torsional band technology maximizes shaft stability in loading zone by 12% over leading carbon fiber weaves on the market today.

• Strategically positioned localized area of reduced bending stiffness in the mid section that fine tunes the spin/flex properties of the shaft.

• This unique recipe of a very flexible mid section combined with robust butt and tip sections produces a radically different shaft load profile during the downswing to optimize energy transfer to the ball at impact. – Maximum ball speed – Increased carry distance

• Proprietary FlexLok™ torsional bands provide ultimate stability in the loading zone to reduce twisting and ovalization resulting in even greater efficiency of energy transfer.

• Ultra light weight stabilization technology – Ensures overall shaft stability is maintained by offsetting the reduced laminate thickness located within the loading zone – Ultralite – weighs less than 3 grams – Reduces torque by up to .5 degree – Tunable control – varying fiber modulus based on shaft flex/trajectory profile
